Background of the Study
Business incubators play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of small businesses, particularly in their early stages. These incubators provide resources such as office space, mentorship, networking opportunities, access to funding, and training programs to help start-ups overcome common challenges (Agbo & Yinka, 2024). In Kano State, a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem exists, but many start-ups face barriers related to funding, skill development, and market access. Incubators are designed to bridge these gaps by providing essential resources to boost the chances of start-up success.

Start-ups, especially in sectors such as technology, retail, and manufacturing, benefit from the structured environment incubators offer. However, the level of support provided by incubators in Kano State is not well documented, and understanding their effectiveness in promoting business sustainability is crucial for local entrepreneurs.

Statement of the Problem
While incubators are designed to assist small businesses, the effectiveness of these programs in Kano State is not well understood. Many start-ups do not fully utilize the resources available to them through incubators, potentially due to lack of awareness, improper guidance, or mismatched services. This study aims to evaluate the role of business incubators in supporting small businesses and assess whether they provide the necessary tools for sustainable growth.
